Mark Youssef & NoviKoff - Knights

Label favourites, Mark Youssef and Novikoff join forces for Pro B Tech again, this time delivering the mammoth ‘Knights’. Patrons of the label, Hernan Serrao, Zed White and One Opinion also chip in with interpretations of their own.

The original mix initiates a formidable tone. A growling bassline and hypnotic melodic line carries this progressive number, adopting a demeanour for which our label is renowned. Peak-time, heavy percussion and a slick and subtle journey into the realms of the crux of the piece ensure that the energy levels are never diminished.

Our very own Hernan Serrao delivers a remix in his own, inimitable style. A marginal slowing of the pace, Hernan utilises the mesmerising melodies from the original while constructing a deep, three-dimensional soundscape around it. His intelligent approach to building tension and ideal dancefloor warming material will be sure to find widespread favour.

Zed White continues the story with a brooding, ethereal remix, contrasting stunningly with a snarling synth line that takes hold of the production mid-way through.

One Opinion has a meeting of minds with the original artists once more, having remixed for them previously; and on our label. Be assured, to aspire to reach the heights of their prior remix for Youssef and Novikoff would be no small feat, yet this remix lives up to it’s billing.

A bruising, housey percussion shuffles into position from the outset , laying a foundation for the soaring synth lines and grooving melodic musings that are to follow. A triumphant return to the label, no doubt.
