Carol Fávero - Control / I Need A Break

Carol Fávero is back on Box of Cats, which means Brazil has once again decided to send us something considerably more dangerous than it probably should be.

Control / I Need A Break sees Carol digging into the tech house side of things, but obviously she wasn’t just going to make two normal tech house records and call it a day. Both tracks have that familiar clubby backbone, except there’s always something slightly cooked going on around it. Weird little sounds, chunky grooves and enough personality to remind you pretty quickly why we keep letting her back in.

Control brings the pressure, while I Need A Break sounds like Carol finally realised making bangers all day is actually quite exhausting. Fair enough. Unfortunately for her, this EP is sick, so the break has been denied.
