Leading house and techno talent Franky Rizardo makes his big debut on Nick Curly’s esteemed 8Bit label. He does so with three typically arresting tracks that are sure to make a big impact in the clubs in the coming months.

Dutchman Franky is one of the new school house talents setting the worldwide agenda. Having come up with big tunes on Defected, he has gone on to work with key labels like Circus and Saved Recordings, as well as Solardo’s huge Sola label, and had his most recent Beatport Number 1 with Call Upon Me on the mighty Rejected. He also has made a fine entry into the legendary In the House series for Defected, done a top Essential Mix for Radio 1 and runs his own Flow Radio show, which is listened to by thousands of fans all over the world. This new EP shows his ever evolving sound is informed by house history but also looks to the future and ramps utterly fresh.

Open Deep Space is just that: a deep house tune set in outer space, with sci-fi melodies and slick, shuffling drums taking you on a voyage. It’s classy and heady and will hypnotise all who hear it. Gravity Push is seven zoned out minutes of warm, atmospheric house with masterful bass lines hanging in mid air. Full of intrigue, the melodies at the mid point will make for huge moments in the club. Last of all, the brilliant Mercury gets busier, with sharp hi hats and gurgling synths all keeping you on your toes as the groove twists and turns for seven sizzling minutes.

Once again here Franky Rizardo is leading from the front with his infectious and innovative sound.

Underground Quality made in Mannheim

Founded by Nick Curly & Gorge in 2005 as a home to their own style of music, 8bit Records went on to become a platform for young artists and a pillar of the Electronic Music Scene. Ten years later, the labels philosophy remains as simple as it is demanding: Focus on original timeless tracks made for dj's and the club. That's why most EP's are still pressed on vinyl and featured throughout major underground music platforms.

The label catalogue has crossed number 100 and with constant inhouse releases as well as artist contributions from acclaimed producers like Joris Voorn, Steve Lawler, Oxia, Santé, Sidney Charles, Paul C. & Paolo Martini, Johnny D, Tania Vulcano and many many more, 8bit keeps on adding to the scene.
