Exciting new artist Avalon Child is next up on Darius Syrossian's Moxy Muzik label and comes through with two terrific new house cuts. It's actually the new alias of house veteran Jay Lumen and he's productions skills shine through here with style.

Fire is built on rock solid kicks that land with great force and subtle syncopation. The synths are wonky and textured, full of playful energy and colour as a menacing bassline keeps things locked in below. Add some fine vocal stabs and you have a kinetic and infectious house sound. Word Up on the flip is another kicker, this time with retro stabs and more high speed beats that will sweep the floor off their feet and get hands in the air once the naughty rapped vocals really ignite things.

These are two explosive tracks from this bright new talent.
