"Letting Me Go" was written during the week of DOT (BR)'s wedding, a moment that let him make music freely, without worrying about genre or style, just following his feelings. That freedom felt like the true starting point of his project Day Out of Time, and the track's direction matched the sonic path he was ready to take next.

"Júlia" is named after his wife. It was produced in Berlin during the Covid lockdowns, while he spoke to her every day on the phone as she lived in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and their relationship grew across the distance. The track sat unfinished on a hard drive for six years until DOT revisited it recently and heard how naturally it paired with "Letting Me Go". He gave it a fresh 2026 treatment to complete the release.

Together, the two tracks trace the story of his relationship with his wife, from its earliest days to their wedding, full of melody and emotion.
