For two decades, Bar 25 Music has been shaped by the people who made music for it. This compilation marks twenty years of the label with fifteen tracks.
The label began in Berlin as part of the Bar25 club, and that beginning still sits at the heart of everything we do. Twenty years is a long time in music, and we don't take it for granted. Every release, every artist and every night on a dancefloor that carried a record somewhere new has added to this story. This compilation is our way of saying thank you to everyone who stayed with us, whether for one track or for many years, and to everyone who listened along the way. For us, it is more than a milestone. It is a look back at where we come from, and a reason to keep going.
The lineup runs from Reecode, Jo.Ke, Rodriguez Jr., Frivolous and Oceanvs Orientalis to Gudrun Gut, SCSI-9, Saktu, Niconé and David Hasert, Dole & Kom, Danny Faber, dOP, Mark Henning and Pan-Pot, with Robosonic and Laura Weider contributing an Anniversary Mix of "Feldrecord im Zirkus." Tobi Neumann reworks Gudrun Gut's "Garten," and Iorie takes on "Catching The Dawn" by Reecode.
