Jordan Nocturne & Emma Dufaux - Spit It Out / Drip

Returning to his own Nocturne imprint following releases on Peggy Gou’s Gudu and Cormac’s Polari, Belfast’s prolific DJ and producer Jordan Nocturne introduces ‘Spit It Out’, a simmering collaboration with New York singer-songwriter, Emma Dufaux. The first in a trilogy of dancefloor-focused singles to be released across the span of summer 2026, each will tap into a different energy drawn from Jordan’s lifelong trip through dance music culture.

Effortlessly capturing the resurgent indie-sleaze cool of esoteric dancefloors at either side of the Atlantic, ‘Spit It Out’ is a throbbing blend of wiry guitars and pounding live drums, while Emma Dufaux’s icy, insistent vocal commands dancers. Most recently appearing on DFA Records alongside rising production duo Fundido, her performance proves an irresistible conduit for the dancefloor.

Meanwhile, as a sensual acid line creeps in to the mix, Jordan Nocturne’s production draws a line between his own recent history in club culture - reflecting gigs at Panorama Bar, Fabric and Love International - as well as the enduring influence of disco, post-punk and acid house’s original intersections.

Hot on the heels of ‘Spit It Out’, follow-up single ‘Drip’ makes a more direct dancefloor play, delivering a serious heater that also serves as a rave-whistlestop tour of Jordan’s lifelong club influences. NYC house foundations bump against Belgian rave hoovers and chopped-up samples, while a rubbery bassline and oscillating synths unfold a psychedelic twist on a modern Italo sound.

Established in 2016, Nocturne has been the home to many of Jordan Nocturne’s original productions, as well as his sold-out Nocturne Edits vinyl series, and hosted music from like-minded friends, including Man Power, Asa Tate, and Zillas on Acid. Alongside Nocturne, Jordan is the co-founder of The Night Institute, a record label and party where, alongside fellow resident DJ Timmy Stewart, he has helped passionately sculpt nightlife culture in Belfast for over two decades.

Jordan Nocturne & Emma Dufaux - 'Spit It Out / Drip' is due for release on the 27th of May via Nocturne.

Spit It Out is really REALLY good - would have been an anthem for us at Come Shake The Whole back in the early 2000s ...
