William Black, Blanke, MGRD – Goodbye [Lost In Dreams Records]
William Black, Blanke, and MGRD are converging for their impactful melodic bass collab "Goodbye" the latest single pulled from Black's forthcoming album slated for release via Lost In Dreams Records.
Based out of Denver, William Black has cemented his status as one of the most influential figures in the melodic bass scene, continually finding new ways to push boundaries with his signature uplifting, energetic, and emotionally dense productions. Born in Australia but now calling Denver his home, Blanke is humming at the highest level at both extremes of bass music, filling in the gaps with his adaptable style ranging from dubstep, melodic bass, drum & bass, trap, and more. Emerging artist MGRD is an alt-pop project launched by singer/songwriter Meg Red (Megan Redmond). The three artists are coming together to release the latest offering from Black's forthcoming album on Lost In Dreams Records.
"Goodbye" is a dubstep track written about trying to find the words to say when splitting up with a partner, especially considering how both parties knew the end was inevitable for far too long. MGRD spills her guts about the fallout, as her velvety topline shines above a cinematic intro and a rocktronic buildup that swaps out driving guitar riffs and brooding melodies for the brute force of midtempo drops and a soaring melodic bass finale.
