Mita Gami & Rafael - What Is Luv - Maccabi House

Maccabi House Presents: Mita Gami & Rafael – “What Is Luv”

Mita Gami and Rafael return to Maccabi House with “What Is Luv”, the first official collaboration between two long-time friends. This is an emotionally rich track that explores the space between intimacy and distance. Rather than defining love, it questions it, and feels it from the onset.

Born out of a studio session in Los Angeles, this collaboration flowed from a place of trust and alignment. Years of shared experience and mutual respect between the two artists laid the foundation for a track that felt effortless, more like a conversation than a composition. An unfolding of mood, memory, and atmosphere.

At its core, “What Is Luv” is a groove-driven, feeling-first weapon. Built on a steady rhythm that is hypnotic, warm, and alive, it pulls the listener inward with soft melodic layers, delicate textures, and a bassline that carries emotion rather than force.

The sound arrangement is minimal yet expressive. Deep kicks and analog-feeling low-end create a foundation that’s intimate and immersive. Dreamlike chord progressions float through the stereo field, evoking nostalgia. Subtle effects and shimmering highs keep the track moving without ever breaking the spell.

If vocals appear, they arrive as texture rather than narrative, whispering through the mix. Like the title suggests, “What Is Luv” doesn’t give an answer. It asks, and lets the listener feel their way through.

This is a track for sunrise moments, closing sets, or those private dance floor where time seems to stop. It’s emotional without being heavy, introspective without losing its groove.

“What Is Luv” continues the global evolution and deepens the catalog of Maccabi House.
