Reuben Lowe - EP09: Fluorine - The Prog Lab Records

The Prog Lab Records continues its elemental journey with EP09: Fluorine, a captivating three-track release from UK-based producer Reuben Lowe, known for crafting underground soundscapes with a mysterious and melodic edge.

Each track on the EP holds its own unique identity while fitting seamlessly into The Prog Lab’s moody, late-night aesthetic, two of which have already been road-tested by The Prog Lab DJs at The Loco Klub in Bristol to powerful effect.

Opening track "A Room With a View" sets the tone with eerie, emotive melodic stabs, swirling atmospheric pads, and a chugging bassline that rolls with quiet intensity.

"Night Street Walker" follows, built around a long, patient breakdown that blossoms into a beautifully haunting progression — the kind of track that fills shadowy dancefloors with anticipation and release.

Closing the EP, "The Announcer" anchors itself with a deep, booming low-end and a throbbing, evolving synth line that twists and turns with energy and subtle menace.

This is Reuben Lowe at his most immersive — a carefully crafted set of underground progressive tracks, perfect for selectors who favour tension, mystery, and emotional depth.

The Prog Lab Records begins in Autumn 2024 after the success of our club night series in Bristol, UK. We aim to expand on this success with the launch of our own label series, showcasing up-and-coming talent within the progressive house scene worldwide. Following our chemistry lab beats theme, each EP will represent an element from the periodic table.

We want to showcase the full spectrum of progressive house, from breaks, deep house, techno, melodic, and more. The Prog Lab sound will have a core of progressive house but will feature some unique tracks in the series.
