George Smeddles – Freeflow EP [Factory 93 Records]

South London's George Smeddles is an English producer and label-boss who has dedicated the last decade to keeping the raw spirit of the UK house scene alive. His catalog strikes the perfect balance between classic and contemporary, with a groove-forward output that gleans from deep house, minimal, soul, motown, jazz, funk, R&B, garage, tech and more. He releases his first standalone release via Factory 93 Records with his new 3-track 'Freeflow' EP.

The title track "Freeflow" is a house roller highlighting his specialty in crafting crisp, clear-cut club records. Framed by a funky undercurrent marked by warm, vibrant layers, its swinging rhythmic momentum features flanger synth lines, smoky brass fills, shuffling drums, commanding basslines, and a soulful selection of vocal loops. Smeddles previously appeared on the label last year as part of the 'PIV x Factory 93: ADE Sampler 2025' compilation album, which drew media coverage from Electronic Groove, DJ Mag Latinoamerica, When We Dip, and more. He has upcoming gigs at Sankeys Manchester, Max Dean's NeXup showcase at the Warehouse Project, following recent shows this year at Club Space, Radius, SILO Brooklyn, Halcyon SF, Floyd Miami, Refuge NYC, XOYO London, Quarters UK.
