Nichols+Roark - Static Orders - SHIFT

Static Orders is about the things we absorbed without knowing - the voices we heard but never questioned.

Not loud, just always there in the background. Like radio chatter. Like static.

It’s about how boys grow up learning to win, not to feel. How strength became silence. How softness got scrambled.

This isn’t a battle track. It’s the moment the signal breaks. The moment you realise you’ve been following orders you didn't need to.

Nichols has released music on respected labels like The Soundgarden, Selador, Balance, Mango Alley, and Manual - supported by some of the world’s most respected selectors, and sharing stages with Carl Cox, Jamie Jones, Sasha, and many others.

Now, as Nichols+Roark, we’ve come together behind the decks and in the studio - crafting music with intention and building SHIFT: a record label and immersive experience that reimagines what electronic music can feel like. Our debut crossover release City Lights gained strong early support, landing on over 500 playlists - a synth-pop leaning track that hints at the diversity of music we can create.

This year we have confirmed releases on The Soundgarden, All Day I Dream, and Manual. We’ve just returned from playing Pikes in Ibiza and will soon head stateside to play the legendary Gospel in New York City and Art Basel in Miami.
