Edburg - Valenz EP

Principia Records founder Edburg presents Valenz, a five-track EP exploring the space between familiar sounds and new directions.

Eigenstate, Eigenraum and Raumklang remain rooted in the atmospheric, melodic deep house that has shaped his recent work: spacious, hypnotic and understated. The title track Valenz, however, pushes beyond those familiar structures, introducing a more experimental approach with a distinct pull towards techno.

As Edburg puts it, “Valenz marks a transition in my sound.” Rather than making a clean break from what came before, the EP captures a moment of transformation, where familiar elements gradually evolve into something new.

Closing the EP, Red Shift II reconnects with Red Shift I from Briefcase//A, completing the first cycle while opening the door to the next. Across the EP, deep-house foundations meet increasingly abstract and machine-driven ideas, offering an early glimpse of where Edburg is heading next.
