Sander van Doorn, BLR – Eyes Open Wide ft. The Melody Men [Dreamstate Records]

Sander van Doorn and BLR join forces to shatter reality with their peak-time single "Eyes Open Wide," featuring The Melody Men, arriving by way of Dreamstate Records.

Based out of the Netherlands, Sander van Doorn is a generational talent whose impact on the dance music scene can be traced back two decades, and in that time, he's remained a progressive and highly adaptive name that never prescribes to any single genre. Nunspeet-based producer BLR is the brainchild of Dutch sensation Leon Bolier, holding a reputation for creating dark, melodic club cuts spanning techno, progressive, deep house and more.

The two talents are intertwining for their new collab on Dreamstate Records, joined by London-led female songwriter/producer duo The Melody Men. “Eyes Open Wide” is a thunderous track sitting in the sweet spot between progressive trance and techno, with an illuminating vocal hook emulating those moments when life feels more like fiction. Pounding kicks and clattering percussive patterns are accented by lysergic flourishes and dark industrial tones, ploughing through the space until high-pitched vocalizations fill the upper register with a sense of awe and wonder. BLR previously remixed Sander van Doorn's anthemic track from 2007, "Riff," early this year.
