Big Black Delta’s cult favorite ‘Huggin & Kissin’ gets a new interpretation from electronic live artist and producer M07 on ‘Huggin & Kissin (All Over Again)’.
The original by Big Black Delta, the electronic project of Jonathan Bates, remains his biggest track to date. First released in 2011 before appearing on his 2013 self-titled album via his own Masters of Bates imprint, ‘Huggin & Kissin’ found a new audience years later through its pivotal role in the first season of Jessica Biel’s hit series The Sinner. Now surpassing 40 million streams across platforms, the track returns in an authorised rework, ‘Huggin & Kissin (All Over Again)’, as Big Black Delta and M07 join forces for its release on 13 November via M07’s Key Factory imprint.

The track returns as a driving rework, bringing together classic influences with contemporary club energy. M07 brings Jonathan Bates’ soulful vocal into a propulsive house groove, pairing crisp percussion and uplifting synth melodies with the grit of the original.

“I was listening to ‘Huggin & Kissin’ in Kyiv in 2013 while the Euromaidan protests unfolded roughly a mile from my apartment. Years later, as I was developing SIGNAL, it came back to mind. It connected the melody I’d always been drawn to with the darker, distorted electronics I wanted to explore,” M07 says.
