Yoann Pisterman - It's A Good Start of Nothing

Yoann Pisterman is a French sound artist and composer based in Berlin. Originally trained in visual arts, his practice began with drawn landscapes blending architecture and vegetation. Sound emerged in response and gradually became the core of his work. He describes it as “painting with sound.” His compositions move between ambient, kraut, electroacoustic, and experimental forms; balancing softness with density and surface with depth.

Yoann Pisterman’s second album is an immersive ecosystem of acoustic resonance phenomena and childlike topographic landscapes for deep listeners. 'It’s a Good Start of Nothing' takes its name from a dyslexic twist on “a good start of something” a slip that unexpectedly revealed something more fitting. The album is light yet intricate, subtly shifting perception and sculpting space.

Singles 'Individual Friends', 'La Colina', 'It's a Good Start of Nothing', are all out now, to be followed by album focus track, 'Rhizomatic Hopping'.

The new album from Yoann Pisterman - 'It's a Good Start of Nothing' is released on the 10th of October via Hologram Opera.
