Yolanda Be Cool, Lass - DOYANA [+ Panna (BR) Remix]

** Radio Embargo Until October 16th / Club Play Only **

The other night I was in a very loud bar.... Like..... VERY loud…. I couldn't hear ANYTHING because the music was so loud.

The bartender came over and asked me a question: “DOYANA beer?”

“What?”

“DOYANA beer?”

He pointed at the beer tap.

Ahhh.

“Do ya wanna beer?”

I’m not really a drinker, but I didn’t want to be rude, so I said yes.

A few minutes later another guy walked past.

“DOYANA sit down?”

He pointed at a chair.

Ah.

DO YA WANNA SIT DOWN.

Then someone in a tee shirt that said LASS on the front of it walked over to me.

“DOYANA dance?”

And suddenly I froze…. Because it was all there.

DOYANA. LASS.

I immediately called YOLANDA BE COOL.

They didn't answer (classic them ha ha ha).

So I called again…. Still nothing.

Then I remembered I don't actually need to call them because this is a shpeel and none of this happened.

But what IS happening is YOLANDA BE COOL are back with DOYANA featuring LASS.

And I'm sure u know who YOLANDA BE COOL are, but in case your memory has gone walkabout.... they catapulted onto the global stage with the era-defining WE NO SPEAK AMERICANO, a multi-platinum worldwide phenomenon + one of the most recognisable dance records of the century, then kept the CV moving with more platinum records, ARIA nominations, Beatport #1s and releases on international heavyweights including Black Book Records, Golden Recordings, Edible + Repopulate Mars. On vocals is Senegalese artist LASS, whose voice connects the lineage of great African singers with modern Afropop and whose journey has included becoming a key part of the Voilaaa project + performing to thousands with Synapson. Not a bad little bar encounter, hey.

And whether your bartender is asking if you want a drink.... or some stranger is offering u a chair.... or whether someone in a Lass t shirt is asking you to dance....

There really is only one appropriate answer.

Yes…..

We DOYANA!!!!

Much love,

Team Sweat
