DJ T. - Bateria (Philipp Jung ReGroove)

Get Physical Music revisits one of its iconic tracks with a fresh new perspective as Philipp Jung delivers a vibrant remix of DJ T.’s 2009 classic ‘Bateria’. Originally released on DJ T.’s celebrated album ‘The Inner Jukebox’, the track returns with renewed energy, bringing together two of the label’s co-founders in a moment that bridges legacy and forward momentum.

DJ T., a defining figure in electronic music for over three decades, is not only a DJ and producer but also a pioneer behind Groove Magazine, Frankfurt’s Monza Club, and the lasting vision of Get Physical. With countless releases, albums, and global tours under his belt, his influence continues to shape the scene with every release.

Philipp Jung, best known as one half of M.A.N.D.Y., has left an unmistakable mark on dance music with anthems like ‘Body Language’. Today, his solo career continues to flourish with creative projects like Beauty & the Beast and Formerly, while staying true to his roots as a curator of groove and underground soul.

The original ‘Bateria’ is a groove-driven cut, defined by light, rolling percussion and warm funk-infused rhythm. In his rework, Philipp Jung injects a timeless house spirit into the track, weaving in jazzy chords that build subtle tension before dropping back into a playful, airy groove. The result is a remix that respects the original’s flow while giving it a dancefloor-focused twist perfect for today’s club sound. A remastered version of the original is also included, offering longtime fans and new listeners alike a fresh look at a true Get Physical gem.

Together again, DJ T. and Philipp Jung offer a reminder of the power of collaboration and the staying power of a well-crafted groove. ‘Bateria (Philipp Jung Remix)’ drops on May 30th.
