Alec Michael - Black & White (incl. Michael Hooker Remix) - Re:Sound Grooves

Austin based DJ and producer Alec Michael makes his debut on Re:Sound Music with Black & White, a three track release featuring two original productions alongside a remix from label founder Michael Hooker.

Rooted in the deeper end of underground house music, the release draws on the warm, rolling grooves and restrained club energy. Across the package, Alec combines tight percussion, weighty low end and carefully controlled melodic elements, delivering a release designed for long transitions, intimate dancefloors and late night sets.

Opening the release, “Black & White” is a deep and driving house cut built around a rolling bassline, crisp swung drums and vocal details. Subtle chord movement and atmospheric textures give the track depth without distracting from its central groove, creating a focused club record that develops naturally throughout.

“How I Feel” moves into a warmer and more emotive space while maintaining the same understated production approach. Deep chords, fluid percussion and a slight vocal presence sit over a tightly controlled rhythm section, balancing introspection with dancefloor functionality.
