The Swan And The Lake transforms everyday scenes into dreamy ambient and downtempo on fifth album, Impressions.

With his four albums released over the past decade, Danish electronic artist Emil Svane Breum-Seehuusen, better known as The Swan And The Lake, has set himself apart as one of the foremost purveyors of Balearic-leaning ambient music.

His simplistic, yet captivating compositional loops are brought to life in soft-textured synths and gentle bass ripples, producing songs that work like magic little daydreams. Waves of bliss and nostalgia that wash over you in images of faraway landscapes and cloudless skies.

With his fifth album, titled Impressions, Emil dwells in the scenes of everyday life – a springtime ice cream, an evening on Tenerife, the memory of looking at the seagulls. The quiet beauty of these moments is captured in subtle melodic meditations and Emil’s own vocalizations – discreet little phrases that swim around in the soft space of the music and gradually become poetic, extending the everyday into the beyond.

Besides a few appearances from guitarist Jonas Krag, aka Santino Surfers, the album is written, produced and performed by Emil.
