Darude, Mashd N Kutcher - HYPE
A full-throttle fusion of emotive rave energy, and slick production ‘HYPE’ sees Finnish electronic music purveyor Darude team up with one of Australia’s most unpredictable and crowd-moving acts Mashd N Kutcher, for a release built to do exactly what its title promises. The collaboration began with Darude laying the foundations: punchy drums, house piano keys and grooves inspired by the emotive sounds that have shaped his career. Matt James (the writer behind the Mashd N Kutcher project) then brought their signature fusion inspired by multiple genres, including electro house and hip hop, as well as recording original vocals for the ‘HYPE’ rap topline.
