My Techno Weighs A Ton

Blackwater Hardware - The Lonely Starfighter EP

• CLASSIC ELECTRO FROM THE BACKCOUNTRY •

The cities have become no-go zones for untamed creativity. There is no dirty urban culture. Death from above has been replaced by death from inside. Out on the bog there are no dive bars. There are canvasses and drum machines, ghostly caballeros of what must be, reclaiming what was lost.

The lonely starfighter Glen from Blackwater Hardware, one of the last remaining transcendentalist left, is raising his family and making music in his farm in the backcountry outside Dublin, Ireland.

Like the name says it, this is hardware electro, maybe even a bit cold wave. Classic, raw and unpretentious. But also hopeful and sentimental.

This is touching us at all the right spots.
