JOPLYN, Tom Breu - TOGETHER 2.0

JOPLYN teamed up with German DJ & Producer Tom Breu for a new reinterpretation of "TOGETHER 2.0" as the original version, released about a year ago by JOPLYN, was definitely ready for a fresh revival. Tom Breu, known for his genre-blending sound, started his career in Ibiza and has released music on labels such as Get Physical. He recently collaborated with Rodriguez Jr. and is set to debut on Coachella’s Sahara Stage. 2024 was a landmark year. With 49M Spotify streams, 2.2M monthly listeners, and his hit "Weak" reaching 65M streams and #2 on Beatport, Breu’s star continues to rise.

The song starts out with a hypnotic deep beat and instantly grabs attention with a catchy vocal chop of Joplyn fading in. A swirling arpeggio synth enters the scene as the beat continues to build, introducing the main vocal hook along with the original LFO synth line. In the breakdown, a warm pad fades in, accompanied by subtle piano hits that open up the space. The vocal choir builds alongside the main synth line, with the ramp intensifying into a wild frenzy. The drop delivers all the key elements at once, culminating in a peak moment of pure joy and euphoria, with detuned synths and fresh percussion rounding out the epic sonic landscape.

When asked about what inspired the track, JOPLYN shared:

This collab actually started out as a remix. Tom reached out because he loved the track and wanted to give it his own twist. When I first heard the remix, I loved it so much that I wanted to hop on it again—and in a way, remix the remix of my own track! I ended up writing and recording some new parts, and now it kind of feels like a completely new song. And since we get to perform it together this weekend at Coachella, it only felt right to release it now. "Share what we’ve got, because we’ve all got a lot of things to share together." This song carries a very simple and wholesome message—sharing is caring. If you can share what you have with others, you’ll never run out of anything. It’s something we might all know deep down, but it never hurts to be reminded of it every once in a while."
