With their debut EP Not Real People last year, oreglo introduced themselves as a band who are redefining genre, and ‘Passion Dance’ is no different as they update the jazz classic of the same name. The track also features vocals from the band for the first time in the form of a spoken intro from the band’s Nicco Rocco (drums) and a rap from c-sé (keys). It marks the band's first release of 2025 ahead of shows across the world, including their first ever US shows at SXSW in Austin and a set at The Great Escape in Brighton.

Speaking on the new single, oreglo share: “Our new track ‘Passion Dance’ offers a fresh take on the McCoy Tyner classic; instead of arranging a contemporary tune into a jazz configuration, we’ve taken a jazz tune and flipped it on its head. It’s theatre, grime, jazz and rock meeting at a centrepoint, to paint a picture of who we are as oreglo!”

‘Passion Dance’ marks the start of a new era for oreglo. They’ve spent the last 6 months honing in on their sound and brand and are now coming back with a bang, taking their already incredible musicality to a whole new level.
