The Slacksons are a relatively new band, formed in early 2019, they have already created somewhat of a stir.
Collectively they have a rich history of experience with Andy Childs having toured Europe with Morcheeba and Cousteau under his Elevator Suite moniker. With the band receiving numerous 'Records of the Week' on Radio 1, and a plethora of Press and industry fans. Roll on 2019 and this collective of like minded people, all hooked up in a studio for a cheeky jam session...something quite magical happened that day, and The Slacksons (unbeknown to them at the time) were born.

Errol the drummer and his band Moonflowers have performed on the NME stage at Glastonbury, toured Europe and Japan and could be found regularly playing to crowds of over 50,000 people. Oli '5 Styles' Ackroyd is the bands scratch DJ, and completing the line-up is the rather talented Mikey; the singer.

The band have just finished their first studio album ‘Plastic Bags For Shoesʼ, you are one of a small handful of DJ’s we are sending this to…we’d love to get your upfront thoughts.

Two live gigs down the line, the music and performances have been received with a great deal of excitement, sitting beside a rich history of innovative UK bands, with their alternative take on Jazz, Funk, Breaks and Electronica. Following a long line of British eclectic flamboyance.

Mikey’s captivating vocals have been influenced by the likes of Ian Dury, Damon Albarn & Terry Hall of The Specials fame. Fused with his energetic and charismatic live performances.
