Gordon Levine Debuts Lofi House EP Inspired by Classic Detroit and European Influences

Emerging electronic music producer Gordon Levine is set to release a debut collection of four captivating Lofi-based house tracks. The EP, featuring Insects Scenes, Raceing, Off of My Mind, and Detroit SP, showcases a masterful blend of hardware-driven innovation and classic house music influences from Detroit and Europe.

The tracks were created using a variety of hardware tools to sequence and craft unique soundscapes. Central to the production were Roland's JX-08 and SP-404 Mk2, which played key roles in shaping the EP’s sonic identity. Each track was meticulously arranged and
recorded in Ableton Live, emphasizing unique sound design while maintaining familiar house aesthetics.

Track Highlights:

Insects Scenes serves as the thematic centerpiece, blending Lofi House with Techno influences at 120 BPM. Its driving techno melody
and filtered pad sounds create an evocative and dynamic atmosphere.

Raceing pushes the tempo to 130 BPM with an infectious bass synth sequence, complemented by vocal samples that command listeners to “get down.” Live filter automation on the synth adds depth to this energetic house and techno hybrid.

Off of My Mind takes a laid-back approach, defined by the repetitive vocal sample, “off of my mind” layered with Lofi drums and synth
arrangements. Real-time effects processing through the SP-404 Mk2 enhances its chill, introspective vibe.
