Boys' Shorts - What Does It Take To Make These Men Happy? (LP sampler)
Known for their charismatic singles on influential dance music labels including Phantasy and Live At Robert Johnson, as well as their intoxicating DJ sets in discotheques and dark rooms across Europe, Boys’ Shorts have earned the trust of queer and wider clubbing communities as generous stewards of a timeless sound that, like themselves, never stops moving forward.
Now, Boys’ Shorts establish their own imprint, ALL SORTS, beginning today [19 Feb 2026] with a sensual, warehouse-scaled new single, ‘Come’. Featuring the vocals of NYC club icon Michael Cignarale, it is the first taste and a direct dancefloor transmission from their upcoming debut album, What Does It Take To Make These Men Happy?, set for release on Friday 24 April.
Comfortably expanding beyond the pristine Italo and indie-disco sounds Boys’ Shorts have long since perfected, ‘Come’ is a slow-burning, throbbing statement that reverberates with the hedonism of classic 1990s New York clubs such as Tunnel and Sound Factory. It moves with intent - physical, intimate and unforced. As the duo, Vangelis and Tareq, put it: “An invitation to our world… a hot, sensual, uplifting club hymn for a sweaty dancefloor.”
Following years of touring through queer-led clubs and dancefloors across Europe and the US, What Does It Take To Make These Men Happy? is an emotionally rich, dancefloor-led body of work exploring longing, connection, nostalgia and modern intimacy. Moving fluidly between sensual house, electro-pop, disco, acid and slow-burning techno, the record reflects years of shared history, remote collaboration and lived experience.
Built around Boys’ Shorts’ core ethos - music for connection, release and feeling, without sacrificing playfulness or groove - the album captures the intimacy of late-night dancefloors and the emotional charge that exists between bodies, sound systems and shared moments.
Named by The New York Times as one of “5 Artists To Watch”, and with a touring history spanning Panorama Bar, Le Bain, Basement and House of YES, alongside support slots for Hot Chip and Alison Goldfrapp, Boys’ Shorts step into a defining album moment. A record equally suited to hazy, sweat-drenched club floors and intimate after-hours listening at home, it positions the duo as trusted stewards of queer club culture with a sound that moves effortlessly between the dancefloor and the after-glow in the spaces that follow.
