Kaiyo – Awee [Discovery Project Records]

Kaiyo releases his debut single on Insomniac's Discovery Project label with the lush, mind-bending offering, "Awee."

Based out of Eugene, Oregon, Kaiyo is an emerging dance music artist who has been making ripples in the bass scene with a sound blending organic textures, emotive melodies and striking low-end. He's making his debut on Insomniac's Discovery Project label with his new single. "Awee" is a brain-tickling bass music track, with high-pitched, glitchy vocals hemmed in by delicate guitar licks, dissonant string stabs, swinging bass melodies, all of which transform into a spacious, trippy electro-funk-soul drop.

The track was selected as the winning submission for the Discovery Project's DJ/producer competition, hosted at Beyond Wonderland SoCal, and chosen by guest judge AC Slater.
