I'm excited to share chapter 16 of 'Future Sounds of Jazz', the highly influential compilation series on Compost Records, this time compiled by Michael Rütten (Soulpatrol / Soulsearching radio show) and label founder Michael Reinboth.
After 30 years of sharing the love for music and a friendship it‘s about time for these two to get together for a musical trip around the world. Previous volumes of “Future Sounds of Jazz” were voted one of the best electronic music compilations by music magazines such as Groove, Mixmag, Faze, and DJ Mag.
Featuring Brittany Davis, Emanative, Nico Zam, Jessica Lauren, Felix Laband, Momoko Gill and Beanfield among many other others, expect a wild and eclectic ride through hidden hinterlands where jazz and electronic music meet.
With the series launching way back in 1995, it’s fair to say that Michael Reinboth —or Compost— essentially pioneered and established the future jazz genre.
