PR054 Ben Biron - Big Sister

Some records reveal themselves gradually. Others make their intentions clear from the very first bars.

For his debut on Project 13, Ben Biron delivers a three-track release built around contrast and atmosphere. The opening cut channels melodic techno at its most direct, combining a rolling low end, evolving synth work and a vocal hook that naturally settles into the mix. Alongside it, the instrumental version strips the arrangement back to its core, offering a more functional tool without losing any of the tension that defines the original.

The EP closes with a left turn into broken rhythms. Built around a weighty breakbeat groove, deep vocal phrases and textured electronics, the final track explores a darker palette while keeping the melodic character that ties the release together. It's the kind of production that feels equally at home during late-night listening sessions and adventurous club sets.

Across all three tracks, Ben Biron shows a confident understanding of dynamics, arrangement and space, delivering a release that moves comfortably between peak-time energy and introspective electronics.
