Legendary house imprint Moodmusic Records proudly announces the release of Sasse’s new single STR 4 LYF, marking the label’s monumental 300th release and celebrating 30 years of shaping underground electronic music.

Founded in 1996 by Finnish-born DJ, producer, and tastemaker Klas Lindblad (aka Sasse), Moodmusic has become a cornerstone for forward-thinking house, techno, and electronic sounds. With STR 4 LYF, Sasse delivers a release that bridges the timeless Moodmusic aesthetic—soulful, deep, and raw—with a contemporary edge that looks firmly toward the future.

“Reaching 300 releases feels surreal,” says Sasse. “Moodmusic has always been about community, quality, and longevity. STR 4 LYF is my way of paying tribute to everyone who has supported the label, the artists who’ve released with us, and the dancefloors that keep the spirit alive.”

Over the past three decades, Moodmusic has championed a diverse roster of talent, releasing defining records from artists such as Henrik Schwarz, Jepe, Dave DK, Ed Ed and many more. The label’s evolution reflects not only the changing landscape of electronic music but also its unwavering dedication to depth, groove, and emotion.

Strings 4 LYF – A Detroit-inspired piano house journey, balancing raw rhythm with emotive chords and soaring string arrangements. Equal parts classic and forward-thinking, it’s a nod to the Motor City via Scandinavia, while standing firmly in the Berlin tradition of Moodmusic.

One For An – A deeper, organ-driven groove designed for late-night floors. Lush textures and hypnotic flow highlight Sasse’s ability to sculpt tracks that feel both intimate and expansive. A stripped Bass Dub cuts the bells and whistles and keeps it chunky and funky.
