Perfection is a funny concept. If you think about it.... The implication is - there's absolutely nothing that could have been done that was better.

For example, in surfing, you can get a perfect 10 if you make a ridiculously heavy barrel or pull off an equally ridiculous air.

But the question for me always is, if that air got a 10, what would you give the air that was bigger..... Or what would you give the barrel that was heavier.....

It makes sense in golf tho for example. A hole in one is a hole in one. NOT really sure how you could do that more perfectly?

Or maths. If you get all of the questions in an exam right, I don't know how that couldn't be considered a perfect exam?

In year 7, I once got 10 out of 10 in a creative writing challenge but again, if that was a 10, what did the kid who did it better get?

But I digress.

OUR HAUS by KLP, MELL HALL and LOOSIE GRIND isn't perfect and before I tell you why, let me tell you why it nearly is.

First of all, the coming together of SWEAT FEMALE ROYALTY & the fruits of an all female Sweat It Out Writing camp.

Secondly - and most importantly - da music. 10/10 Energy. Tick! Some 90's pianos. Tick! An incessant hook. Tick! Goess Off!!! Tick!!! Tried and tested. Tick! Goes off - ask HI in Ibiza last Thursday where KLP played it before Patrick Topping.

And thirdly

Schtick - yep - dripping in it.

So - you might ask - why is this not a perfect 10?

And for the answer - I must blame my year 7 English teacher - sorry ladies but you spelt HOUSE wrong.

But hey... In OUR HAUS - Things are a little bit better than maybe the imagination of even the English dictionary.
