DJ NAAG - PIYARI (DJ CHUS REMIX)
1. DJ CHUS Remix
2. Original Mix
NAAG, Raised in a Yoga ashram in the desert of New Mexico, Naag's childhood musical world was surrounded by
classical Indian folk, Native American & Latin music. Naag's first mind-blowing electronic music experience came when
he saw legendary techno producer Richie Hawtin live at the Coachella Festival, which changed the course of his
musical evolution. Influenced by tribal electronica pioneers DJ Chus, Pablo Fierro, Rampue, Chancha Via Circuito, El
Mundo & Zazou, Naag infuses his hypnotic creations with the rich tapestry of his upbringing steeped in eastern
traditions. With a trail of epic festival performances and music releases across top-tier labels, Naag pushes the
boundaries with each new release, from Downtempo/Organic House to Afro & Deep House, delivering a hypnotic vibe
that defies convention and ablaze dance floors.
'Piyari' is his debut single on Redolent Music; in the words of the producer: 'This song was born out of a beautiful,
hypnotic East Indian female vocal I found that reminded me of my days at boarding school in India. It had a hypnotic
and mesmerizing emotion that moved something in me. I imagined myself traveling in a caravan through the desert or
sitting on a train in India and listening to this voice as the world passed beside me. I recorded the wind in the aspen
trees outside my studio in Joshua Tree (US), east indian Santoor, 12-string guitar, didgeridoo, and many other organic
elements with some lovely analog synths, and the track started to take shape!'
Putting the Ice on the cake of this release, we have Redolent’s founder DJ CHUS, who delivers an energetic and up-
tempo Afro House remix of ‘Piyari’, adding commanding drums and shifting synths. Chus has previously remixed for
numerous artists, including Sabo, Darin Epsilon, Ramy Mishriky, Matthias Tanzmann, or Roger Sanchez, KeeQ & Talón.
