Lempo & Lord KCB - Can You Just (incl. Junior Lopez Remix) - Applique Music

Lempo reunites with Lord KCB for their explosive new single, ‘Can You Just’, releasing on Manchester imprint, Applique Music. Following the underground success of previous collaborations ‘Cheeky Sound’ on Trax Records and ‘Bop Down’ on Whore House Records, the duo return with this radio friendly summer house anthem.

Mike McGuinness aka Lempo is a British DJ and Producer based in Manchester, in recent years he has collaborated with house music icons such as Roland Clark, Robert Owens, Chuck Roberts, and Princess Superstar on labels such as Strictly Rhythm and Black Hole Recordings, achieving five Beatport number one sellers.

Bradley Armstead, better known as Lord KCB, is a New York rapper whose roots stretch across house music and hip-hop. Emerging in the late 1980s he first gained recognition with ‘I’m Housin’ It’ on Easy Street Records, before multiple collaborations with UK jazz outfit Us3.

Driven by Lempo’s signature percussion, rolling grooves and hypnotic chords, ‘Can You Just’ pairs raw club energy with Lord KCB’s commanding vocal delivery and thought-provoking lyricism. Balancing substance, soul and undeniable rhythm before erupting into an infectious hook.

The release lands exclusively on Beatport May 22nd, with general release across all platforms on June 5th. The package also features a remix from Junior Lopez based out of Toronto, adding another layer of underground heat to an already essential release.
