Los Angeles-based artist BL SUEDE and his trailblazing label, Purple Love Records, proudly announce the release of a groundbreaking addition to their devotion to elevating soulful house music. Featuring a stellar remix by Liberian-born DJ and creative powerhouse Val Fluery, this release reimagines BL SUEDE’s visionary track "Love Warrior" and furthers the mission of the House of West Project.

BL SUEDE is renowned for his unique blend of Afro-diasporic-rooted house and electronic soul. Weaving together elements of R&B, funk, jazz, and gospel, his music channels the rich tapestry of Black musical traditions into forward-thinking house tracks that move bodies and souls alike.1

In 2024 BL SUEDE released "Love Warrior" in collaboration with Chicago house music pioneer K. Alexi Shelby. The track, which incorporates disco and tribal influences, stands as a powerful call to action for truth, justice, and love. Featuring the voice of prolific contemporary philosopher and activist Dr. Cornel West, "Love Warrior" is part of the ongoing House of West Project, a series curated by BL SUEDE and Dr. West to highlight the profound connections between house music and Black musical heritage.

Known for her energetic DJ sets that blend house, techno, and global rhythms, Fleury’s remix is a masterclass in afro-warehouse vibes. By reinterpreting the core elements of "Love Warrior" — its dynamic percussion, evocative synths, and BL SUEDE’s compelling vocals — Fleury creates a fresh yet deeply resonant version that honours the original while carving new sonic territory.
