Barada - Gasoline (From House to Disco Remix)

From House to Disco tease upcoming Disco House For All compilation with new remix. This is one of four the Brazilian pair contributed to the compilation.

Brazilian pair From House To Disco have a great understanding of what moves a dance floor which has taken them to sets everywhere from Time Warp to Piknic Electronik to Glitterbox and labels like Massa Records and COCADA Music. Known for their fine curatorial skills and endless research into dance music culture, they have now curated a superb Definitive Recordings retrospective compilation and, as part of it have remixed four classic cuts which get standalone releases.

In this package, From House To Disco breathe new life into Bryan Zentz, aka Barada's 1994 hit 'Gasoline'. The remix is a scintillating house pumper, with glistening piano chords and a melodic bassline that bring the old school vibes into the present. The original, with its stripped-back feel and tech house edge, remains as relevant and captivating as ever, while Prozac's Remix, now remastered for 2024, adds a fresh, menacing twist with its rushing chords and punchy drums.

Definitive Recordings was founded by John Acquaviva, Richard Hawtin, and Karl Kowalski in 1992 as an embodiment of their vision for house music. "Not too hard, not too soft" was the mantra and it built up a fine body of talented artists who made a real impact on the global underground and helped to foment a unique identity for Definitive Recordings. After acquiring the catalogue of legendary Canadian house label, Get Physical Music is proud to present a new various artists series that focuses on some of its most classic cuts. John Acquaviva will continue to A&R for the label and work closely alongside the Get Physical team in this new era.
