Ayk - Demon In The Mirror

Pushing genre boundaries, Belgium’s R&S Records drops a heavyweight slab of underground psychedelic hip-hop from Ayk, backed with remixes from Som.1 and Trash Cells.

Remixes of ‘Demon In The Mirror’ come from French duo Som.1, who add a rumbling breakbeat twist, and Trash Cells, who deliver a darker alternate version with guttural vocals, deconstructed beats and saturated guitars.

Already receiving early support from Laurent Garnier, Charlotte de Witte, James Lavelle (Mo’ Wax), Don Letts, DJ Harvey, Thomas Schumacher, John Kennedy and Tom Ravenscroft (Rinse FM), the track is making waves internationally.

Ayk, a rapper and producer from Iran’s Gilan province and member of the Twilight Marauders collective, makes his debut on R&S Records after five years crafting beats and lyrical riffs.
