Good Knights – I Wish I Had A Friend [Gotta Move Records]

American producer and vocalist duo Good Knights return to Insomniac's Gotta Move Records with their sophomore single "I Wish I Had a Friend," a melancholic speed house banger.

Good Knights is a power pairing of producer Aukoustics and lauded songstress Dana Williams, an alt-dance project using their combo of underground speed house and heavy hooks to prevent humanity from disappearing in the digital age. They are returning to Insomniac's Gotta Move label with their sophomore single.

"I Wish I Had a Friend" continues the narrative they staged with their recent single, cementing their status for world-building. It addresses the loneliness epidemic: high-pitched gang vocals beg for companionship while a pitch-shifting, modulated retro gaming lead lends an air of hope to its bassline drive. The release follows their maiden single "Ghost," has racked up more than 449k streams in a month, and the duo has surpassed 13 million views across socials since then.
