Wayve – VILE [Discovery Project Records]

Wayve makes his debut on Insomniac's Discovery Project label with his new single, "VILE," a sinister dubstep banger chosen as the winner of the Discovery Project competition for Apocalypse: Zombieland festival.

Emerging from Chicago, Wayve is a bass music producer whose sound is as volatile and unpredictable as the ocean itself, with rogue swells stretching into trap, dubstep, melodic bass, experimental bass and beyond. He's debuting on Insomniac's Discovery Project label with his new single. "

VILE" is a viscous dubstep track chock-full of depraved dancefloor-crushing energy. Contorting synth lines morph and bend above a hypnotic beat, until the main motif transforms into a gothic, Dracula-esque melody, fueling the bloodthirsty tearout drops with pulverizing wavetable grinds that evolve with his signature grit. The track was the winning submission for the Discovery Project DJ/Producer competition hosted for the Apocalypse: Zombieland festival, handpicked by guest judges, ATLiens. It earned him a slot on the lineup and this release on the label.
