FALKO – Cybernetic Horde [Discovery Project Records]

FALKO returns to Insomniac's Discovery Project Records to drop his new drum & bass two-tracker 'Cybernetic Horde.'

LA-based producer FALKO is spreading his wings in the drum & bass arena, a fast-rising producer drawing inspiration from neurofunk, dancefloor dnb, electro, and heavy Near Eastern influence. He's returning to Insomniac's Discovery Project label with his follow-up release, a two-track EP, 'Cybernetic Horde.'

The lead track "Cybernetic Horde" is a neuro drum & bass creation demonstrating new depths to his multicultural sound. Opening with trotting tribal percussion and lush string melodies, the natural elements are usurped by foreboding foghorn synths—the harbinger of a machine-led uprising scored by tightly programmed drums and intricately layered laser-fueled sequences that feel like robotic warfare. The release follows his November label debut, "Knights of Falkora," the winning submission for the DJ / producer competition hosted at Nocturnal Wonderland, chosen by guest judge ÆON:MODE.
