Casey Club – Mortified [Bassrush Records]

Casey Club releases his new single "Mortified" via Bassrush Records.

Based in Bristol, Casey Club is a producer who takes his hometown's heritage to heart. In the short span of the last two-odd years, the British phenom has honored the city's long lineage of rave culture by bringing its influential sounds to the core through a first-rate concoction of drum & bass, UK garage, bassline, dubstep, global bass and filthy low-end found on the fringes of club music. He debuts on Bassrush Records with his new single.

"Mortified" is a deep dubstep track throwing back to the OG dubstep that laid the blueprint for bass music. Dusting off wonky wavetable synthesis that sucker-punched everyone within earshot around the early 2010s, the track runs those squawking modulators through the wringer with cavernous sound design, swinging drum sequences, and gritty lowrange frequencies woven around a real-life voice reaction that stuck as the central theme and title.

In recent years the brand has expanded its reach, grown its portfolio of national shows, launched a dedicated website (www.basssrush.com), and moved into new markets. In their mission to continually break new ground, Team Bassrush launched Bassrush Records, which will feature free releases from both established and up-and- coming talent in the drum n bass, dubstep, glitch, trap, and ever-evolving bass music genres.
