Tommy J draws profound inspiration from percussive elements, drums, atmospheric soundscapes, and captivating melodies. His early initiation into DJing granted him valuable insights into diverse musical realms, spanning genres such as hip hop, electro, house, and techno. Combining these influences, he has skillfully crafted his distinct production style and dance music sound in the historic Montreal techno scene.

Tommy J’s music career has taken him to co-found music collective Sound Moment, today a Montreal staple, and play at the iconic Stereo Bar, Le Salon Daome, and Newspeak. He has also been released on UNDERHER’s IAMHER Records.

Inspired by deep house, soulful melodies, and percussive grooves, Funky Feet seeks to create moments of unity and celebration on the dancefloor. By combining a live acoustic bassline with synth elements and samples, the track thrives on using the variety of options producers have, while the reverbating plucking tension jolts the listener onto the dancefloor. As the summer nears, joyful emotions led the track towards an uplifting chorus which carries the listener throughout the song.
