Ten Percent - Rework by David Morales
David Morales and DIRIDIM Records present a club-ready rework of a beloved disco classic.
‘Ten Percent’ is a re-imagined take on a classic that’s lived in DJ culture for decades. David Morales rebuilds it for the booth, looping and chopping the vocal into something flickering and familiar, teasing the hook. Beneath it, a deep, satisfying bassline holds the track down, while those classic Morales strings lift the breakdowns with emotion and space.
Ten Percent was the first 12” 45 that David Morales bought that was released on Salsoul Records in 1976. His rework is out exclusively on Bandcamp through Morales’s DIRIDIM Records, and it’s only around for a week. Seven days, one platform, then gone. No wide release, just a quiet drop for people who still care about records that feel like finds.
