HallMighty & Vanucci - You Brighten Up My Day

Aldo Vanucci is best known in recent times for chart troubling Drum & Bass bangers like “Impossible” his millions streaming hit with Mila Falls, but before that he was known worldwide as a don of the downbeat and a sample hunter to the stars.

When we asked him for something special for our Twenty Fifth Anniversary album he decided to return to those roots with new production partner Christian Hall (HallMighty).

HallMighty is known for his Disco Deluxe series and more recently his SUNSET SESSIONS which were described by Mixmag as sounding like "the love child of Studio 54 and Ibiza".

You Brighten Up My Day is the result of their musical collision. A cover of an incredible song by US band Soapstone which was recently uncovered for a BBE compilation by fellow truffle hunter Paul Hillery.

Aldo opened his celeb phonebook to pull in a superb vocalist while the duo went to work on an updated instrumental that is destined to be a sun soaked chill classic.

The track was produced for Twenty Five – a 3xLP celebration of 25 Years in the business for Jalapeno Records. The only unreleased track to make it on to the album, it is testament to the quality that it holds its own against the best of the labels output.

You Brighten Up My Day will be released on streaming platforms as a standalone single with the album pre-order on 24th October and on vinyl as part of the album on 14 Nov.
