Witty Tunes welcomes two UK talents for a groove-driven collaboration as Micah Baxter joins forces with JJ Morris on Booty. A no-nonsense club cut combining underground Minimal Deep Tech with a cheeky, seductive edge.
Micah Baxter has steadily established himself as an artist with a distinctive approach to Minimal Deep Tech, adding his own twist to a sound built around tight grooves, stripped-back rhythms and infectious low-end pressure. Alongside his work as a DJ and producer, Micah runs Gritty Records, a label and brand that continues to gain international recognition and support from across the electronic music scene.
His productions have attracted backing from an impressive roster of established artists, including Jamie Jones, Michael Bibi, Detlef, The Martinez Brothers, Marco Carola, Seth Troxler, Latmun, Cloonee, Solardo, Wheats, Ben Sterling and Patrick Topping, among many others. Behind the decks, Micah is also a regular headliner at some of London's most respected clubbing institutions, including XOYO, Ministry of Sound and Fabric.
Joining him on Booty is JJ Morris, a young emerging talent from the UK who also serves as A&R for Twenty2Recs. Bringing together their shared understanding of underground club music, the pair deliver a production focused on groove, attitude and dancefloor impact.
“Booty” is a proper club weapon, built around a punchy low-end, tight percussion and a seductive flavour that gives the track its unmistakable character. With a stripped-back underground sound and just the right amount of cheekiness, it keeps things direct and effective, letting the groove do the talking.
With Booty, Micah Baxter and JJ Morris deliver a record made for intimate club rooms, late-night sessions and dancefloors that appreciate their grooves with a little extra attitude.
