This is not a joke, tho maybe it was a joke, but JOHN SUMMIT just recently celebrated his 16th bday at the Highlight Room in Hollywood where he did a little DJ set alongside his friends - tho unlike most 16 year olds, his friends included LEE FOSS and MK.

But I guess that’s my point. He’s no ordinary 16 year old but one of the most in demand DJs and producers in the world right now and well…the demand is justified. With more Beatport Top 10s than birthdays and a tour schedule that’s busier than an especially pimply 16 year olds acne collection, it wasn’t hard to convince PURPLE DISCO MACHINE that we needed a JOHN SUMMIT remix of his latest hit, DOPAMINE.

ID’s were checked, class exemptions were granted and stems were sent and soon after, a preview was up on JOHN SUMMIT’s Instagram.

“Dude,” I shouted down the dm highway…. “You can’t post that yet. No-one has heard the amazing vocals of EYELAR yet. Even PDM hasn’t posted about it yet.”

But 16 year olds don’t really follow rules and he kept on posting it, playing it in sets and sure enough, after the Defected Croatia festival, it became one of the most talked about IDs in the world.
