Music For Dreams are proud to present Copenema’s new album Hoje, to be released June 27th.
Copenema is the collaborative project masterminded by Brazillian multi-instrumentalist Rodrigo Sha. The essence of the music is Brazilian, both in its rhythms and moods. Yet it traces a clear course from the samba of Rio de Janeiro to the Balearic Beat of Ibiza, through a pit stop in the northern city of Copenhagen, picking up new influences, production styles and collaborators from the Music For Dreams roster.
Hoje, meaning “Today”, is Copenema’s third album and features twelve songs: eleven originals written by Sha and a bossa-nova cover version of ‘Love Is In The Air’. The sound of the album is joyful and wholesome, with Sha’s saxophone, flute, guitar and unique Carioca voice adding many deep colors the sweet harmonies and sunny beats.
The album features producers and instrumentalists including DJ Disse, Walt Default, DJ Pippi, Grassskirt, OliO, The Swan And The Lake, Kenneth Bager, Reinhard Vanbergen, Gabriel Moura, and other names.
