Satori - Re:Imagined

Sol Selectas is very pleased to present the "Re:Imagined" album by Satori. This album features 3 originals from Satori, and 6 re-imagined songs from the Sol Selectas back catalogue.

Since the success of his remix of Unders’ “Syria” track in 2017, Satori has taken the dance music world by storm, touring the globe both as a solo artist, and with his newly formed “Band from Space”, and holding a summer residency in Ibiza called “Maktub”.

Once a year in his hometown, Satori does a special 10 hour live set mixing his original music with songs by other respected producers. It was during this 10 hour set that he literally Imagined the idea to produce an entire album of Sol Selectas back catalogue reworks. With each Re:imagined song, Satori dives deep into the origins of the music, discovering the cultural influences, geographical location of the samples, and researching the roots of every sound present. The result is a musical composition which takes the listener on a true cultural journey around the globe, and back to the Universe itself.

The artwork by Helia Jamali honors the origins and roots of the songs in the album, with elements that represent each place, sound and vibe. The heavenly being seated travels between the stars and galaxies, reimagining time travel.
