REX STAX returns with “Lion” — a powerful Afro House release featuring the soulful vocals of South African artist Lizwi.
Released as part of the Lion EP on Iziki Records — the highly respected Afro House label run by Djuma Soundsystem — the project includes the original mix, several remixes, and an additional standout track titled “Nafira.”
Built for DJs, “Lion” delivers high energy, driving percussion, and festival-ready intensity, making it ideal for peak-time sets and late-night dance floors. The track showcases the signature fusion of deep African vocals and modern electronic power that defines REX STAX’s sound.
The EP also features “Nafira”, REX STAX’s first Afro House collaboration with a female Romani singer. With soulful, gypsy-inspired vocals and tribal instrumentation, Nafira is perfectly crafted for sunset sessions, bars, lounges, deeper emotional transitions, or as a warm, melodic follow-up to a peak-hour moment — offering a global and atmospheric touch.
