Purple Disco Machine - Disco Cherry

Fast forward to the year 1999. I was on my very first trip to Europe. My best mate, myself, and a small inheritance from my grandma that left me enough to get there, eat most days and party most nights, set off on a DISCO CHERRY popping trip of a lifetime. We started our journey inLondon where we spent a few days sleeping on the kitchen floor of my sister's one bedroom apartment that her and her 3 friends were sharing. We saw Carl Cox DJ in a Virgin Record store and made it to the infamous Ministry of Sound before deciding that free accommodation in Mallorca at my mum's childhood friend's house was a nice idea.

And so we arrived in Mallorca, hoping to see Christopher Skase but instead, finding out that in one short boat trip, we could be in Ibiza. Say What!!!! We didn't think twice... Packed an overnight bag and jumped on the boat, telling my mum's friend we would be back tomorrow, with the plan being..party all night then jump on the boat back in the morning.

As soon as we got there, we realised this may not be the case. We went straight to a pre party and crazily enough, bumped into 3 of our best mates from Sydney (this was before mobile phones btw) who just so happened to be in the same corner of Manumission as we were, amongst 15,000 others, it seemed an unlikely occurrence that we decided definitely needed to be celebrated..... For 7 days.....

When the dust had settled and we had well and truly popped our Ibiza DISCO CHERRY, we all went back to Mallorca for a home cooked meal and a well needed hug from my mum's friend.

Which brings me to DISCO CHERRY by PURPLE DISCO MACHINE. What I love so much about this tune is not just the fact that it's a return to the party rocking sound that originally shot PDM to world wide fame... But also.... He's doing a summer long residency at PACHA on the White Isle and no doubt for many, it is going to soundtrack the popping of their very own DISCO CHERRY.

Just like your first trip to Ibiza. DISCO CHERRY by PURPLE DISCO MACHINE will not disappoint.
